1. Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 5:50 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020, Millersville Pike at Gable Park Drive (LT) – Jorge Irizarry, M/32, of Tampa, FL, was charged with the above offense following a crash investigation. Irizarry was identified as a driver in that crash and exhibited an odor of marijuana. When questioned, Irizarry produced a bag of marijuana and relinquished it to the officer. A criminal complaint was filed.
2. Abuse of Corpse / Tampering With Evidence Arrest, 7:04 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020, 1492 Lititz Pike – Clarion Inn & Suites (MT) – Cody James Guyer, M/29, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a death investigation, where a male body was discovered on the ground in the area of an open courtyard. Guyer, an employee of the hotel, rented a room to a person known to him. This male later died in the hotel room, as a result of a suspected drug overdose. Guyer entered the room and removed the male’s body, leaving it in the courtyard. Guyer then reentered the room and removed a hypodermic needle, a white towel covered in blood, a white pillow, and personal items belonging to the deceased. These items were disposed of in two (2) separate trash containers. Guyer was interviewed by police and admitted to doing these acts. He was subsequently arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.
1. Criminal Mischief, January 13 to 15, 2020, 700 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s smashed the front passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the area. Total loss: $259.99.
2. Theft By Deception, December 25, 2019, 900 block East Orange Street (LT) – The victim fell for a scam where they believed their Apple account was compromised. The victim ended up purchasing $2,300.00 worth of gift cards and providing the card information to the scammer.
