ARRESTS

1.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 9:43 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, Grandview Boulevard at Pleasure Road (MT) – John Michael Ranzinger, M/56, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed lying upon the ground and unable to stand due to heavy intoxication.  A citation was issued.

2.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2019, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Jack S. Raley, Jr., M/64, of Millersville, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed passed out on a bench in front of the business.  Raley, Jr.’s unconscious state was caused by heavy intoxication from alcoholic beverages.  A citation was issued.

3.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 2:48 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019, 1300 block Millersville Pike (LT) – Tyler Lee Bawks, M/21, of Millersville, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stumbling alongside the roadway, due to intoxication from alcoholic beverages.  A citation was issued.

4.  DUI Arrest, 1:58 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 1800 block Lititz Pike (MT) – Hunter S. Dillman, M/21, of Lititz, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for erratic driving.  Dillman exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.  Chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.082%.  A criminal complaint was filed.

5.  Theft From Motor Vehicle Arrest, 10:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019, 1700 block Judie Lane (LT) – Luis C. Rivera-Colon, M/42, of Conestoga, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed inside a vehicle, which had been parked in a parking lot.  Once inside, Rivera-Colon stole $810 worth of items, but was confronted by the vehicle owners; he immediately fled.  He was later involved in a crash in Lancaster City, where he was identified being involved in this theft.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Rivera-Colon remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Rivera-Colon should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

6.  Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer Arrest, 1:39 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019, Wabank Road at Judie Lane (LT) – Christopher Garcia-Rodriguez, M/19, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he fled from an officer who attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle Garcia-Rodriguez was driving.  The officer had observed Garcia-Rodriguez driving and knew that his driver’s license privileges were suspended.  Garcia-Rodriguez committed a series of traffic infractions during his fleeing from the officer; no pursuit occurred.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Garcia-Rodriguez remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Garcia-Rodriguez should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

7.  Retail Theft Arrest, 2:53 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 2000 Crossings Boulevard – Wegman’s (MT) – Derek Scott Weachter, M/26, of East Petersburg, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stealing $87.97 worth of merchandise from the store.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Weachter remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Weachter should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

8.  Theft / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 10:00 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2019, 1300 block Belle Valley Road (LT) – Amanda Lynn Messner, F/25, homeless, was charged with the above offense after she stole $260.00 in US currency from a residence where she was staying for the night.  Messner fled the residence, leaving behind two (2) empty glassine baggies.  A criminal complaint was filed as Messner was already incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison on unrelated charges.

9.  Simple Assault Arrest, 4:55 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, 1500 block Fruitville Pike (MT) – Vanessa L. Johnson, F/62, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at her residence.  During the altercation, Johnson grabbed onto the head of the victim and ripped out a chunk of hair.  Johnson also punched the victim and threw a ceramic ashtray at their face, which caused a split lip.  Johnson was arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.


CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Theft By Deception, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2019, 600 block Prince George Drive (MT) – Unknown person/s contacted the victim as part of a “secret shopper” scam.  The victim was given a series of fraudulent checks which they deposited into their bank account.  The victim then used the funds to purchase gift cards and provide the information to the scammers.  Total loss: $2,400.00.

2.  Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 5:40 p.m., September 14, 2019, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – An unknown Hispanic male and white female stole a peach iPhone XR after the owner accidentally left it behind at the checkout counter.  Total loss: $800.00.  Investigation continues.

3.  Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 11:48 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, 1100 Millersville Pike – Getty Mart (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a purse and contents after the victim accidentally dropped it on the ground in the parking lot.  Total loss: $73.00.
