ARRESTS

1.  Criminal Mischief / Disorderly Conduct Arrest, 9:45 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019, 1589 Fruitville Pike - Starbucks at Target (MT) - Aaron C. Dalton, M/31, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he was observed urinating on a sink and several boxes of product behind the counter of the business.  Dalton's actions caused Starbucks a loss of $200.00 in merchandise and clean up expenses.  Two (2) citations were filed.

2.  Robbery / Simple Assault / Theft Arrest, 10:54 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 1603 Manheim Pike – M&T Bank (MT) – Christopher Benjamin, Jr., M/29, of Harrisburg, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a bank robbery.  Benjamin, Jr. entered the bank armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the employees, while pointing the handgun at them.  Benjamin, Jr. took possession of $1,996.00 in US currency and fled from the bank.  Detectives filed a criminal complaint on August 23, 2019 and obtained a warrant for Benjamin, Jr.’s arrest.  Benjamin, Jr. remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Benjamin, Jr. should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

3.  DUI Arrest, 4:41 a.m., Sunday, August 25, 2019, South West End Avenue at Elm Avenue (LT) – Leyla Meriem Marie Perry, F/21, of Leola, PA, was charged with the above offense following a check on the welfare incident.  An officer on patrol observed Perry slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle parked alongside the roadway.  The officer made contact with Perry who exhibited signs of impairment.  She was arrested and chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.116%.

4.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 11:24 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2019, North President Avenue at Marietta Avenue (LT) – Adrienne R. Bareiss, F/37, of Mountville, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was observed laying in the bushes off of the sidewalk.  Bareiss was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, was in possession of three (3) beers and admitted to consuming alcohol.  A citation was issued and she was released to a friend.

5.  Harassment / Disorderly Conduct Arrest, 10:02 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 1296 Millersville Pike – McDonald’s (LT) – Shonnea Brown, F/29, was charged with the above offenses after they engaged in a fight with another person at the restaurant.  During the altercation, Brown struck the victim, grabbed her by the hair, and threw her to the ground.  Brown’s actions alarmed others in the area.  Two (2) citations were filed.  Also, during the same incident, a 17-year-old juvenile from Lancaster, PA, was charged with Disorderly Conduct for antagonizing the actors involved in the fight, and videotaping the incident.  A citation was filed.

6.  Harassment / Disorderly Conduct Arrest, 7:22 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 2000 block Miller Road (EP) – Alex E. Hernandez, M/19, of East Petersburg, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute.  During the altercation, Hernandez pushed the victim and caused a disturbance which drew attention and concern from several uninvolved persons in the area.  Two (2) citations were filed.

7.  Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 11:55 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2019, 100 block Abbeyville Road (LT) – Gregory Alan Folk, M/63, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he was found in possession of marijuana, three (3) smoking pipes, two (2) THC oil cartridges, a wooden box, and a clear plastic baggie.  A criminal complaint was filed.

8.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 12:30 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, Baron Drive (LT) – Carlos Luis Valentin, M/19, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after officers were called to his residence for a complaint of the odor of burning marijuana.  Valentin was found to the rear of his residence in possession of marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

9.  Harassment Arrest, 3:57 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 6100 block Main Street (EP) – A 16-year-old juvenile from East Petersburg, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at their residence.  During the altercation, the juvenile punched and shoved another person.  A citation was issued and the juvenile was released to a parent.

10.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 7:18 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 1246 Millersville Pike – Regal Cinema (LT) – Roger Wayne Pickett, M/37, of Dallastown, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed yelling and arguing with other patrons of the theatre during the showing of a film.  Pickett was removed from the theatre by staff and turned over to police.  Pickett was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and admitted to drinking.  A citation was issued.

11.  Harassment Arrest, 10:16 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 700 block Wyncroft Terrace (LT) – Jashyn M. Mariani, M/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence.  During the altercation, Mariani grabbed and struck the victim in the face with his fist, approximately five (5) to seven (7) times.  A citation was filed.

12.  Soliciting Violation Arrest, 6:30 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, Fruitville Pike at Chester Road (MT) – Elam S. King, M/67, homeless, was charged with the above offense after he was observed soliciting money from passing motorists.  King has been warned and charged on numerous prior occasions.  A citation was issued.

13.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 5:53 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 1000 block Center Avenue (MT) – Barbara A. Teter, F/54, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was observed screaming “help me” in the front yard of a residence where she did not reside or belong.  Teter’s clothing was disheveled and was heavily under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.  A citation was filed.

14.  Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 3:41 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2019, Route 30 East at New Holland Pike (MT) – Philip D. Gutierrez, M/41, of Marietta, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for an expired registration plate.  Officers searched Gutierrez’s vehicle which yielded marijuana, a green metal pipe, a white metal container, a black metal grinder, a brown glass smoking pipe, and a plastic baggie.  A criminal complaint was filed.

15.  Disorderly Conduct / Public Drunkenness Arrest, 12:50 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 222 Eden Road – Eden Resort Inn (MT) – Jon B. Shobin, M/39, of Smithtown, NY, was charged with the above offenses after he was observed yelling profanities inside the hotel.  Shobin smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and was slurring his speech.  Two (2) citations were issued.

16.  Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, 1136 Harrisburg Pike – Sunoco (MT) – James Michael Jacobs, M/22, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he stole a wallet and contents from the ground outside the store.  The wallet had been accidentally dropped by the owner.  When interviewed by police, Jacobs admitted to taking the wallet.  A criminal complaint was filed.

17.  Criminal Trespass / Public Drunkenness Arrest, 1:36 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 600 block South West End Avenue (LT) – Christian Ruben Rivera, M/21, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he entered the residence of another person without permission.  Once inside, Rivera was confronted by the homeowner and held until police arrived.  Rivera was found to be heavily under the influence of alcohol and mistook the residence as his own.  He was arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.

18.  Theft Arrest, May to June, 2019, 400 block Rabbit Hill Lane (LT) – Kenneth Clark, M/39, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with twelve (12) counts of Theft after he stole numerous personal items from the home of his employer over the course of time period listed.  The stolen items included designer watches and accessories.  The total value of all items was $48,065.84.  Clark was interviewed by detectives and admitted to stealing the property from the victim and pawning the items for cash.  A criminal complaint was filed as Clark was already incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison on unrelated charges.

19.  Theft By Deception / Theft Arrest, July 1 to 10, 2019, 1200 block East King Street (LT) – Justin Lee Haldeman, M/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he stole a check from the victim’s mailbox and deposited it into his own personal bank account.  Haldeman then withdrew the funds from the account after the check cleared.  Total loss: $650.00.  A criminal complaint was filed.

20.  Forgery / Theft By Deception Arrest, 2:16 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019, 3190 Lititz Pike – Ephrata National Bank (MT) – Bruce Edward Reese, Jr., M/34, of Thorton, PA, was charged with the above offense after he uttered a fraudulent check at the bank, which he knew was forged.  Reese, Jr. defrauded the victim out of $997.56.  A criminal complaint was filed as Reese, Jr. was already incarcerated in Delaware County Prison on unrelated charges.


CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Theft, 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2019, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a pink flat iron from an apartment.  Total loss: $100.00.

2.  Access Device Fraud, August 21 to 23, 2019, 200 block Perthshire Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s accessed the victim’s debit card after they lost it in Lancaster City.  Total loss: $403.83.  Investigation continues.

3.  Forgery, 1:15 to 1:40 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 2068 Fruitville Pike – Five Below (MT) – An unknown black male attempted to use a fraudulent $100.00 bill when purchasing merchandise.  The male fled when employees questioned the bill.  Investigation continues.

4.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, August 15 to 21, 2019, 1600 block Chadwick Circle (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a black Taurus Slim 9mm pistol.  The firearm was later recovered in Lancaster City.  Total loss: $203.00.  Investigation continues.

5.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 8:19 to 9:39 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 2323 Oregon Pike – Universal Athletic Club (MT) – Unknown person/s smashed a window of a vehicle parked at the business and stole a purse and contents.  A credit card from within the purse was later used to make fraudulent purchases at area stores.  Total loss: $1,324.88.  Investigation continues.

6.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, August 23 to 24, 2019, 100 block Fairview Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s entered three (3) unlocked vehicles and stole $5.00 in loose change and a set of keys.

7.  Vehicle Theft, 2:22 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 100 block Charles Road (LT) – Three unknown males stole a 2011 Kia Optima from a residential property.  Total loss: $5,000.00.

8.  Forgery, 1:31 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – An unknown black male attempted to use a fraudulent $100.00 bill when purchasing merchandise.  The male fled when employees questioned the bill.  Investigation continues.

9.  Disorderly Conduct, 4:33 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Three (3) unknown black females and two (2) unknown Hispanic females engaged in a physical fight at the entrance to the store.  All parties fled prior to police arrival and their identity is unknown.

10.  Theft, 3:00 to 4:50 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a purse and contents from an unattended shopping cart.  Total loss: $600.00.  Investigation continues.

11.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, August 24 to 25, 2019, 1300 block Cheves Place (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked overnight.  No items stolen.

12.  Indecent Exposure, 9:46 a.m., Sunday, August 25, 2019, 2000 block Crossings Boulevard (MT) – An unknown white male in his 50s to 60 was observed masturbating along a walking path.  Officers checked the area but were unable to find the male.

13.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 2:20 to 5:45 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2019, 1280 Winchester Drive – Stoner Park (MT) – Unknown person/s smashed out the window of a vehicle parked in the area and stole a purse and contents.  Total loss: $125.00.

14.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, August 23 to 24, 2019, 1200 block Meadowbrook Road (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole $38.00 from within.
