ARRESTS

1.  Harassment Arrest, 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, 2020 Fruitville Pike – Chuck E Cheese (MT) – Zachary M. Heiner, M/32, of Elizabethtown, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at the restaurant.  During the altercation, Heiner shoved the victim.  A citation was filed.

2.  DUI Arrest, 4:39 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, 400 block Butler Avenue (MT) – Yong Z. Wang, M/25, of Staten Island, NY, was charged with the above offense after he was observed unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle.  Wang exhibited signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages.  He was arrested but refused chemical testing.  A criminal complaint was filed.

3.  DUI Arrest, 5:01 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2019, 400 block Ringneck Lane (MT) – Stephen S. Plaza, M/57, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash investigation involving a rolled over vehicle.  Plaza was identified as the sole driver in that crash and exhibited signs of impairment.  Plaza was arrested and chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.133%.  A criminal complaint was filed.

4.  Vehicle Theft / Theft / Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle Arrest, 2:34 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, 600 block South West End Avenue (LT) – Darien M. Hain, M/23, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute at his residence.  During the altercation, Hain stole the victim’s 2012 Kia Optima and wallet.  The vehicle and wallet were later recovered but $100.00 was missing from the victim’s wallet.  Total loss: $8,100.00.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Hain remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Hain should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

5.  Criminal Trespass / Harassment / Criminal Mischief Arrest, 1:06 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Austin Michael Sanchez, M/25, homeless, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute at a residence.  During the altercation, Sanchez came to the residence of a former acquaintance in defiance of a ‘no trespass’ order, and began kicking on the door.  When the victim answered the door, Sanchez grabbed the victim and threw them to the ground, resulting in an abrasion to their knee.  Sanchez also pushed a separate victim which caused a scratch to their arm.  Sanchez took off running when witnesses arrived to try and help the victim.  Damage to the door was determined to be $350.00.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Sanchez remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Sanchez should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

6.  Identity Theft / Access Device Fraud Arrest, April 26 to May 31, 2019, 900 block Fountain Avenue (MT) – Emily Kathleen Ewan, F/27, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged with the above offenses after she used the identity of the victim to obtain a duplicate Pennsylvania Driver’s License from a PennDOT licensing center in Lawndale, PA.  Ewan then opened various business cred card accounts using the victim’s biographical information and the fraudulently-obtained duplicate Pennsylvania Driver’s License.  Ewan proceeded to purchase in excess of $24,000.00 in merchandise using the fraudulently-obtained credit cards in the name of the victim.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Ewan remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Ewan should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

7.  Unlawful Use of Medical Marijuana / Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 2:09 a.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019, Lititz Pike at Chester Road (MT) – Nichole L. Rachor, F/39, of Mohnton, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for an illegal left turn.  While speaking with Rachor, officers smelled fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed a glass smoking pipe in plain view.  When questioned, Rachor stated she used the pipe to smoke medical marijuana.  Medical marijuana is not allowed to be smoked in Pennsylvania and by doing so, forfeits the protections of the medical marijuana act.  Officers searched Rachor’s vehicle which yielded five (5) plastic containers of marijuana, the smoking pipe, and a silver metal marijuana grinder.  A criminal complaint was filed.


CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Theft By Deception, July 12 to 13, 2019, Circle Drive (MT) – Unknown person/s scammed the victim out of $800.00 after they convinced the victim they were putting a deposit payment towards a timeshare property.

2.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 4:30 to 5:41 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, 245 Eden Road – Skyline Pool (MT) – Unknown person/s smashed the windows of two (2) vehicles parked in the parking lot and stole a purse and wallet.  Total loss: $955.50.

3.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, 1466 New Holland Pike – Lancaster Country Club (MT) – Unknown person/s smashed the windows of nine (9) vehicles parked in the parking lot.  Numerous items, including purses, were taken from the vehicles.  Total loss: $10,000.00.  Investigation continues.

4.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 5:42 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, 1300 block Belle Valley Road (LT) – Two (2) teenage, black males were observed attempting to enter a vehicle parked in the driveway at a residence.  The homeowner saw the males and confronted them; they fled.  Nothing taken.

5.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, 1400 block Fieldstead Lane (LT) – Two (2) teenage, black males were observed attempting to enter a vehicle parked in the driveway at a residence.  The homeowner saw the males and confronted them; they fled.  Nothing taken.

6.  Vehicle Theft, 1:11 to 1:21 a.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019, 1110 Millersville Pike – House of Pasta (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a green 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara which sat unattended with the keys inside of it, while the owner entered the business to purchase take out.  Total loss: $1,381.00.

7.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, 1300 block Atkins Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a video game system valued at $300.00.
