Daily News Release - Monday 2/5/2018

ARRESTS

1. Curfew Arrest, 12:12 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, Skyline Drive at Crest Lane (MT) – A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with the above offense after they were found out past curfew.  The juvenile was released to a parent and a citation was filed.

2. Public Drunkenness Arrest, 11:11 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, 800 block Cobblestone Lane (MT) – Kenneth Marcellus, M/19, of Lititz, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed unconscious in another person’s front yard during frigid temperatures.  A citation was filed.

3. Theft / Access Device Fraud Arrest, January 29, 2017 to February 2, 2018, 1500 block Butter Road (MT) – Rebecca L. Tiedemann, F/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after she stole her mother’s debit card and used it to make numerous fraudulent charges totaling $2,125.85.  A criminal complaint was filed.

4. Harassment Arrest, 6:57 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 800 block New Holland Avenue (MT) – Thomas L. Maurer, M/24, of Leola, PA, was charged with the above offense after he spit in another person’s face.  A citation was filed.

5. Disorderly Conduct Arrests, 7:40 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018, 700 block Palmer Circle (MT) – Ted J. Danowski, M/38, of Lititz, PA, and Edward C. Hipple, Jr., of Lancaster, PA, were both charged with the above offense after they engaged in a mutual fight in the middle of the street in a neighborhood, following a traffic confrontation.  Two (2) citations were filed.

6. Harassment Arrest, 5:30 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, 700 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Joseph A. Benjie, M/53, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence.  During the altercation, Benjie forced his head into the victim’s face, causing bruising.  A citation was filed.

7. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Harassment Arrest, 1:58 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1500 block Butter Road (MT) – Rebecca L. Tiedemann, F/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute at her residence.  During the altercation, Tiedemann shoved another person.  While on scene, officers discovered a glass pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine, which belonged to Tiedemann.  A criminal complaint was filed.

8. Retail Theft Arrest, 5:11 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) -  Alexander C. Salas, M/28, of New Providence, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stealing $121.81 worth of merchandise from the store.  A citation was filed.

9. Strangulation / Terroristic Threats / Harassment Arrest, 3:28 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, 500 block Kensington Road (LT) – Joshua Scott Geib, M/23, of Millersville, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute.  During the altercation, Geib placed both of his hands on the neck of the victim and squeezed to the point where she could not breathe or swallow.  Another party in the residence heard the altercation and attempted to intervene.  Geib then grabbed this other party on the arm.  Geib then told both victims that he would kill them if they called police.  Geib was arrested and taken to Central Arraignment.

10. DUI Arrest, 10:51 a.m., Monday, January 1, 2018, Lititz Pike at Millport Road (MT) -  Alexandria A. Getz, F/27, of Lititz, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash.  Getz exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.  Chemical testing yielded the presence of numerous controlled substances in her blood.  A criminal complaint was filed.

11. Hit & Run Crash Arrest, 4:16 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, Fruitville Pike at Granite Run Drive (MT) -  Danielle S. Logan, F/43, of Manheim, PA, was charged with the above offense after she side-swiped another vehicle and fled the scene after impact.  Logan was identified as the driver and admitted her involvement with this incident.  A criminal complaint was filed.

12. Criminal Mischief Arrest, 11:37 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, 2200 block Fruitville Pike (MT) – George Wallace Davis, V, M/28, of Lititz, PA, was charged with the above offense after he kicked a hole in the wall of a residence, not owned by him.  A citation was filed.

13. Simple Assault / Recklessly Endangering Another Person Arrest, 7:11 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 1500 block Wabank Road (LT) – Valerie Tatiania DeMangeon, F/26, of Conestoga, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute.  During the altercation, DeMangeon struck two (2) people with her vehicle.  The two (2) victims were standing alongside DeMangeon’s vehicle with the doors standing open, when DeMangeon put the vehicle into gear, moved the vehicle, causing both persons to be knocked to the ground and suffer injuries.  Neither party was run over by the vehicle wheels.  DeMangeon was arrested and taken to Central Arraignment. 

14. Retail Theft Arrest, 3:24 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018, 2030 Fruitville Pike (MT) – Jonathan Manuel Washington, M/31, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stealing $99.97 worth of merchandise from the store.  A citation was filed.

1. Criminal Mischief, January 31 to February 1, 2018, 1500 block Fruitville Pike (MT) – Spray-painted screen wall.  Total loss: $100.00.

2. Theft, 5:15 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018, 1117 Harrisburg Pike – Wendy’s (MT) – Theft of a cell phone.  Total loss: $750.00.

3. Criminal Mischief, 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2018, 200 block Wren Way (MT) – A vehicle was shot as it sat unoccupied.  Total loss: $700.00.

4. Retail Theft, 4:30 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2018, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Theft of jumper cables.  Total loss: $20.00

5. Retail Theft, 5:11 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Theft of numerous items.  Total loss: $121.81.

6. Retail Theft, 5:13 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1204 Millersville Pike (LT) – Attempted theft of steak.  Total loss: $150.69.

7. Vehicle Theft, February 1-2, 2018, Millpond Drive (LT) – A 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck was stolen overnight while parked at a residence.  Total loss: $9,995.00.

8. Retail Theft, 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, 1368 Columbia Avenue – Majik Rent To Own (LT) – Theft of a PlayStation 4 console and controller.  Total loss: $467.98.

9. False Alarms to Agencies of Public Safety, 12:53 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, 5700 Lemon Street – East Petersburg Elementary School (EP) – Unknown person/s pulled two (2) fire alarms when no emergency existed.

10. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts / Accessories, February 1-2, 2018, 1900 block New Street (EP) – Theft of tires from a vehicle.  Total loss: $1,000.00.

11. Theft From Motor Vehicle Incidents, Overnight, Sunday, February 4, 2018, 100 block North School Lane & Newton Road (LT) – Seven (7) unlocked vehicles were entered as they sat parked overnight.  Numerous items were taken.  Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles when left unattended and to not leave valuables inside their vehicles for any reason.
