ARRESTS

1.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 9:45 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018, Southbrook Drive (LT) – Terrill Jordan Verling-Albright, M/21, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for suspicious activity.  Officers searched Verling-Albright’s vehicle which yielded marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

2.  Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 10:19 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, 1600 block Chadwick Circle (LT) – Richard Allen Taylor, M/43, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after an officer on foot patrol smelled burning marijuana coming from a shed in the rear yard of Taylor’s residence.  Upon closer inspection, Taylor was observed inside the shed with marijuana, a grinder, a scale, and a glass pip with burnt marijuana residue upon it.  A criminal complaint was filed.

3.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 7:20 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Charles Bordy, M/49, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed unconscious in the grass to the rear of the store.  Bordy admitted to drinking vodka throughout the day.  A citation was issued.

4.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 8:08 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, 900 block East King Street (LT) – Angel Luis Espada, M/39, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following at traffic stop for an expired registration.  Officers searched Espada’s vehicle which yielded marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

5.  Shoplifting Arrests, 5:27 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, 832 Plaza Boulevard – TJ Maxx (MT) – Catia Deshauna Taylor, F/35, of Columbia, PA, and Honisty Kashay Brown, F/22, of Harrisburg, PA, were both arrested after they were observed stealing $820.03 worth of merchandise from the store.  Both were processed and taken to Central Arraignment.  Taylor was charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft while Brown was charged with Retail Theft and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft.

6.  DUI Arrest, 11:25 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018, 1800 block New Holland Pike (MT) – Leondro P. Costello, M/72, Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for faulty electrical equipment.  Costello exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.  Chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.197%.  A criminal complaint was filed.

7.  DUI Arrest, 5:58 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, Route 283 East at Manheim Pike (MT) – Michael A. Benavides, M/28, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash.  Benavides was identified as a driver and exhibited signs of impairment.  He was arrested and taken for a blood draw.  Following the blood draw, he was processed and taken to Central Arraignment.

8.  Robbery / Harassment Arrest, 3:43 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, 200 block Rosedale Avenue (LT) – Brett Michael Bair, M/30, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he attacked another person, who was inside a vehicle.  Bair picked up a brick and threw it at the vehicle.  The victim attempted to leave and Bair prevented them from doing so.  Bair approached the driver’s side, yelled at the victim, spit upon the victim, and took the victim’s cell phone as they were attempting to dial 911.  Bair was heard saying “what are you going to do now?”  The victim fled and called police from a nearby store.  A criminal complaint was filed and a warrant for Bair’s arrest was obtained.  He remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Bair should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Theft By Deception, Friday, September 21, 2018, 1000 block East Oregon Road (MT) – An unknown person contacted the victim and told them their computer was infected with a virus.  The victim provided the person with their credit card information and authorized a charge for $159.00.  Investigation continues.

2.  Criminal Mischief, October 1-3, 2018, 2500 block Lititz Pike (MT) – Unknown person/s spray painted “GABE SUNA” onto a concrete wall.  Total loss: $200.00.  Investigation continues.

3.  Theft, 2:15 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, 2000 block Crossings Boulevard (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a sway bar from a trailer while it was parked in a parking lot.  Total loss: $300.00.

4.  Theft, October 2-5, 2018, 2100 block Fruitville Pike (MT) – Unknown person/s stole clothing and other items which had been packed up and prepared for an upcoming move.  The items were stolen out of a shed.  Total loss: $8,080.00.  Investigation continues.

5.  Harassment, 4:31 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, 58 Keller Avenue – Dan Diller Realtors (MT) – An unknown person called the business and threated to strike one of the employees with a tire iron.  Investigation continues.

6.  Criminal Mischief, September 29 to October 5, 2018, 300 block Ecker Drive (MT) – Unknown person/s sawed the bottom of a fence post at a residence.  Total loss: $100.00.

7.  Criminal Mischief, October 5-6, 2018, 1081 North Plum Street – American Bar & Grill (MT) – Unknown person/s slashed two (2) tires on a vehicle which sat parked at the business.  Total loss: $200.00.

8.  Retail Theft, 4:33 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018, 1605 Lititz Pike – Giant Food Store (MT) – An unknown white male entered the store and stole $193.00 worth of Dove beauty products.  Investigation continues.

9.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 4:00-4:40 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, 2240 Basset Drive – Manheim Township Overlook Park Destination Playground (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet, purse, and contents.  Total loss: $100.00. 

10.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 1:15-5:30 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, 2040 Lititz Pike – Overlook Golf Course (MT) – Unknown person/s smashed a window of a locked vehicle and stole various items from inside.  Total loss: $1,000.00.

11.  Theft, 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018, 1434 Manheim Pike – McDonald’s (MT) – Theft of a bicycle from outside the restaurant.  Total loss: $100.00.

12.  Theft, 7:25-9:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2018, 21 Valley Road – Neff Elementary School (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a bicycle from the school.  The bicycle was later recovered.  Total loss: $270.00.  Investigation continues.
