ARRESTS
1. Endangering Welfare of Children / DUI Arrest, 10:28 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021, Harrisburg Pike at Race Avenue (MT) – Michael Huynh, M/29, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for an inoperable brake lamp. Huynh exhibited signs of impairment, admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages, and was in possession of an open and half-full can of an alcoholic beverage container. Huyhn had his 6-year-old child as a passenger inside the vehicle at the time. The child was not properly secured using a required booster seat. Huyhn was arrested and chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.170%. A criminal complaint was filed.
2. Theft of Services Arrest, 2:35 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, 1374 Columbia Avenue – Nail Place (LT) – Mercedez Sarah Davido, F/23, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after she had work done on her fingernails, valued at $102.00. When Davido was to pay for the services performed, she was unable to do so. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant and turned over to the Lancaster County Sheriff. A criminal complaint was filed for the Theft of Services charge.
1. Criminal Trespass, 3:14 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, 100 block South President Avenue (LT) – An unknown black male attempted to gain access to a residence via a kitchen window and basement door. The male’s actions were captured on the resident’s home surveillance camera system. The male fled after failing to gain access to the home.
2. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, Route 222 South at Mile Marker 31.0 (MT) – Officers performed a traffic enforcement detail as part of the PA Aggressive Driving Campaign. During this time period, eighteen (18) motorists were stopped resulting in eighteen (18) traffic citations being issued for Maximum Speed Limits. The highest recorded speed was 78 MPH in this 55 MPH posted zone.
3. Theft By Deception, December 29, 2020, 1400 block East King Street (LT) – The victim attempted to purchase an Apple iPhone 12 using Facebook Marketplace. The victim electronically sent the seller $300.00, but never received the phone. After receiving the money, the seller immediately removed the ad and deleted the Facebook account.
4. Vehicle Theft, January 13 to 16, 2021, 1900 block Sterling Place (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a 1996 Buick Century as it sat parked in this residential area. Total loss: $1,000.00.
5. Burglary, 2:29 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021, 1000 Columbia Avenue – Sunoco (LT) – Three (3) unknown males broke a front window of the store to gain entry. Once inside they stole an unknown number of grinders, pipes, and scales from a display case. Total loss remains unknown.
6. Theft From Motor Vehicle, January 18 to 19, 2021, 100 block Roselawn Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked overnight. A $20.00 bill was taken from the center console.
7. Theft From Motor Vehicle, January 18 to 19, 2021, 1700 block Judie Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked overnight. A backpack containing a laptop computer and other various electronics, and a tool set were taken. Total loss: $1,700.00.
8. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Route 222 South at Mile Marker 31.0 (MT) – Officers performed a traffic enforcement detail as part of the PA Aggressive Driving Campaign. During this time period, seven (7) motorists were stopped resulting in four (4) traffic citations and three (3) written warnings being issued for Maximum Speed Limits. The highest recorded speed was 78 MPH in this 55 MPH posted zone.
9. Theft, December 1 to 12, 2021, 1927 Fruitville Pike – One Main Financial (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a 3-ton air conditioning condenser from the rear of the building. Total loss: $2,000.00.
10. Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime, 3:23 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 1100 block Helen Avenue (MT) – An unknown black male, wearing a face mask and hoodie, was observed loitering and prowling on a residential property in this area. The male opened a fence gate and looked into the yard before abruptly leaving. The male’s actions were captured on the resident’s home surveillance camera system.
11. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 7:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 1700 block Eden Road (MT) – Officers performed a traffic enforcement detail as part of the PA Aggressive Driving Campaign. During this time period, seventeen (17) motorists were stopped resulting in eight (8) traffic citations and eight (8) written warnings being issued for Maximum Speed Limits. One (1) additional written warning was issued for Driving Vehicle The highest recorded speed was 52 MPH in this 25 MPH posted zone.
12. Criminal Mischief, 3:00 a.m. to 1:03 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021, 700 block Wyncroft Terrace (LT) – Unknown person/s punctured two (2) driver’s side tires on a vehicle, which sat parked overnight. Total loss: $500.00.
13. Theft From Motor Vehicle, January 20 to 21, 2021, 500 block Kensington Road (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a wallet and its contents. Total loss unknown.
