Crash Closes Route 30 Ramp
At 5:10 p.m. December 4, 2018, officers responded to a crash on the ramp from Route 30 east to New Holland Avenue which closed the ramp for over three hours. A vehicle operated by a Lancaster man was driving on the ramp when it sideswiped a stopped vehicle and struck a utility pole. The driver was found unconscious and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no other injuries. Investigators later determined that the crash was likely caused by a medical condition.
