At 5:57 p.m., on Monday, February 24th, 2020, the Manheim Township Police were dispatched to Millersville Pike near Michelle Drive in Lancaster Township for a serious crash involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers determined that a male operating a motorcycle travelling westbound on Millersville Pike lost control of his vehicle and struck the vehicle traveling westbound in front of him. Following this impact, the lone rider was thrown from the motorcycle. The rider landed in the eastbound lane of Millersville Pike and was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The motorcycle rider was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours while officers performed their investigation.
