Serious Head-On Collision Occurs on Thaddeus Stevens Bridge! Multiple People Injured!

WITNESSES SOUGHT TO HELP INVESTIGATORS!


At 8:26 p.m., on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department were dispatched to the Thaddeus Stevens Bridge in the 1100 block of Lititz Pike (SR0222) in Manheim Township for a serious head-on collision.  Upon arrival, officers determined that a car traveling southbound on Lititz Pike, entered the northbound lane of Lititz Pike, and struck another vehicle head-on, while traversing the bridge.  All of the occupants of both vehicles sustained serious to life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.  This crash remains under investigation and a reconstruction has been planned for 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021.  No further details are being released at this time.
