CRASH CLOSES RAMP FOR OVER TWO HOURS - AFFECTS MORNING COMMUTE
At 4:42 a.m., on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, the Manheim Township Police Department was dispatched to Oregon Pike at the on-ramp to RT 222 South for a crash involving an overturned box truck. Upon arrival, officers located the driver confined inside the vehicle. Officers determined that the box truck was traveling northbound on Oregon Pike and turned right onto the on-ramp to travel south on RT 222. The box truck overturned on its left side when it negotiated this turn. The driver was removed from the vehicle and reported minor injuries which did not require medical treatment. The ramp was closed to traffic for approximately 2.5 hours. The crash remains under investigation and no further details are being released at this time.
