Special News Release – Fatal Crash in Manheim Township

The Manheim Township Police Department is currently investigating a fatal vehicle crash which occurred at 4:11 a.m. June 9, 2022 in the 2000 Block Lititz Pk in Manheim Township. A 33-year-old male from Ephrata, PA was operating a commercial vehicle northbound on Lititz Pk. The vehicle left the roadway on the eastern side, struck two utility poles, a stone wall, and fire hydrant. During the crash the box truck flipped onto the driver side. Emergency crews worked to extricate the male from the vehicle. The male was unresponsive. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and retained jurisdiction of the male. The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators conducted a crash reconstruction of the scene. Utility crews remain on scene to install new utility poles; however, the roadway is open to traffic.
The Manheim Township Police Department is conducting the crash investigation.
