The Manheim Township Police Department, arrested Vega, Fermin Jose without incident on Saturday, August 2nd, 2020, in Manor Township. Assisting Manheim Township officers were the Pennsylvania State Police Fugitive Task Force, the United States Marshall's Fugitive Task Service, and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department. Fermin was processed and taken to Central Arraignment.

Criminal Attempt at Homicide / Strangulation / Aggravated Assault / Endangering Welfare of Children / Terroristic Threats / Simple Assault Arrest, 4:00 a.m. to 5:40 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020, 1400 block Atkins Avenue (LT) - Fermin Jose Vega, M/32, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a domestic dispute at his residence. During the altercation, Vega threw a mangled car tire at the victim, striking her in the head. He also smacked her face and grabbed her arms, causing redness and bruising. Vega then held a silver and black handgun to the head of the victim after threatening to "bury" the victim, and two (2) children that were in the home. Vega had the victim in a rear choke hold, which caused her to experience difficulty breathing, while the handgun was pointed at her head. During the altercation, the victim was able to grab the firearm as a shot was discharged from the weapon. The fired projectile struck a wall and no persons were injured. The two (2) children were at the home during this entire incident, to include the discharging of the weapon. Vega fled prior to police arrival and was not able to be located.
A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained. Vega remains a wanted person at this time and is considered armed and extremely dangerous!
