At 11:09 p.m. Sunday February 3, 2019, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 Block of Jackson Street for a shooting that had just occurred. Arriving officers found a 30 year old Lancaster man unconscious with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Lancaster General Hospital in critical condition. Investigation determined that an argument had occurred between several occupants of the residence, and Moises E. Lopez M/21 attempted to break it up. While doing so, he pulled out a pistol that he was carrying and shot the victim in the leg in an attempt to stop the altercation. The victim was unarmed. Lopez was taken into custody at the scene. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and turned over to Central Booking.
