Theft By Deception / Forgery / Identity Theft Arrest, 11:50 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2020, 1457 Manheim Pike – CarMax (MT) – Max W. Jones, Jr., M/54, of York, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he falsely identified himself to CarMax employees, using two (2) fraudulent PA driver’s licenses and a fraudulent bank statement. These fraudulent documents used another person’s information. Jones, Jr. completed the vehicle payment paperwork using the aforementioned false information to attempt to take possession of a 2017 Land Rover, valued at $28,988.00. Jones, Jr. was arrested, processed, and taken before Magisterial District Judge David P. Miller for arraignment. Jones, Jr. was arraigned and bail was set at $20,000.00 cash, which Jones, Jr. could not post. He was remanded to Lancaster County Prison.
