Travel Safe this Thanksgiving Holiday!

LITITZ BOROUGH -  Holiday travel comes with higher risks.  Safe, sober and distraction-free driving can reduce crashes and save lives.  Thanksgiving Eve has historically been one of the biggest drinking days of the year.  Often times people who have consumed alcoholic beverages and/or drugs will then drive a car, resulting in a higher likelihood of a crash and arrest for DUI. Please protect yourself and others and designated a safe and sober ride or hire a ride-share service.  According to the National Safety Council, from 2013 to 2018, fatalities from crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday period averaged 12.46% of the total fatalities in November.
