Speeding Complaints on Kissel Hill Road - LBPD Patrol Attention Focused
LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD has been receiving complaints about increased vehicles and speeding on Kissel Hill Road due to local road work and detours. The LBPD patrol function has focused efforts towards visibility, deterrence and when appropriate, enforcement.
On Saturday, August 22, around 8:00 PM, a motorist was stopped, and cited for driving 68 MPH. Kissel Hill Road is properly posted as a 25 MPH zone and is a residential neighborhood.
Speeding poses a serious traffic safety hazard, especially in residential neighborhoods. The LBPD urges drivers to obey all traffic laws. Additionally, in consideration of the local road work and detours, please plan your route ahead and allow extra travel time.
