Hit-and-Run Crash Causes Damage on North Broad Street

LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function has initiated a hit-and-run crash investigation. On 04/25/2021 at around 1:28 AM, LBPD patrol officers responded to North Broad Street (SR0501) near Kleine Lane after two 911 callers reported hearing a crash. 

The initial on-scene crash investigation indicates that a south-bound vehicle entered into the oncoming (northbound) lane of travel; then struck the pedestrian bump-out, a traffic sign and two bollards resulting in significant damage to each. Evidence recovered on-scene indicates the striking vehicle is a likely white-colored Volkswagon, unknown year or model. The vehicle likely has significant damage to the front and driver side. Following the collision, the vehicle initially continued traveling south-bound on North Broad Street.
