The LBPD filed a criminal complaint against Gloria Elaine PENEPACKER, age 40, of Lititz, for Driving under the Influence (DUI) (2 Counts), Accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, trespass by Motor Vehicle and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
On 09/02/2019 at 3:45pm, Officers were dispatched to the area of 22 North Board Street for a hit and run crash involving a vehicle that was now on the railroad tracks. It was determined that the hit and run occurred in the 100 block of East Main Street when PENEPACKER’s vehicle side-swiped a legally parked vehicle. PENEPACKER left the scene of that crash and continued driving until she turned left from North Broad Street onto the railroad tracks and struck the railroad switch, disabling her vehicle. During the crash investigation PENEPACKER was found to be under the influence of alcohol and she was taken into custody. PENEPACKER was transported to the LBPD where she provided evidential samples of her breath, which indicated a 0.229% BAC. PENEPACKER was later released from custody and has been summoned to appear in Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
PENEPACKER is presumed innocent.
