FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The LBPD patrol function has filed a criminal complaint against Tami M. KYROS (age 58), of Lititz, alleging the crime of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) - Controlled Substances, and the summary traffic offenses of Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property and Duties at Stop Signs.
On 06/18/2019 at 9:42 AM, members of the LBPD were dispatched to a hit-and-run crash that occurred on North Broad Street (SR0501) at Kleine Lane. Witnesses reporting observing a silver Ford Focus strike a stop sign at this intersection and leaving the scene of the crash. A witness provided a license plate of the striking vehicle and officers contacted KYROS at her home shortly after the crash. It is alleged that KYROS was under the influence of a controlled substance and she was taken into custody. A drug influence evaluation was performed by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). KYROS provided samples of her blood which subsequently revealed controlled substances. KYROS has been summoned to appear in DUI Central Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
KYROS is presumed innocent.
