LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD filed a criminal complaint against Lauren Marie JEFFERSON, age 34, of Manheim, for Altered, Forged or Counterfeit Documents and Plates and a summary vehicle code violation of permitting violation of title.
On 07/08/2022 around 5:00pm, an Officer stopped a vehicle owned by JEFFERSON on North Broad Street in the area of East Market Street after the vehicle was observed being operated with inspection and emission certificates that did not appear authentic. During the traffic stop, officers determined the inspection and emissions certificates displayed on the vehicle were counterfeit. Officers also discovered that the vehicle did not have a valid certificate of inspection. JEFFERSON was not operating the vehicle at the time but Officers determined she owned the vehicle and was responsible for the counterfeit certificates. JEFFERSON will be summoned to appear in District Court for a preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
JEFFERSON is presumed innocent.
