The LBPD had filed criminal charges against Roy Timothy HAUPT, age 56, of Lititz for Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked (DUI Related), Drivers required to be licensed and notice of change of name or address.
On April 29, 2019 at around 7:11pm, an officer observed HAUPT operating a vehicle in the first block of East Lincoln Avenue. Officers knew that a criminal arrest warrant had been issued for HAUPT so he contacted and taken into custody. Officer subsequently discovered that HAUPT’s driver’s license had expired and was suspended as a result of a DUI conviction. Officers also learned that HAUPT has had two prior convictions for Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked related to a DUI which made this offense a misdemeanor. Officers turned HAUPT over to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office on the warrant and he will be summoned to court on these new charges.
HAUPT is presumed innocent.
