The LBPD has filed a criminal complaint against Lindsey Marie COX, age 27, of Cleona for Endangering the Welfare of Children, Driving under the influence of Alcohol and Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked (DUI related).
On May 28, 2019 at around 6:09pm, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Lemon Street for a report of drunkenness in progress. Officers responded and discovered that COX was stopped by security after she attempted to drive away with her children in her vehicle. Officers subsequently discovered that COX was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested. The children, age 3 and 11 months, were also taken into police custody. The children were later released to their father. COX was transported to the Lititz Police Station for the purpose of a breath test, but she refused to submit to the test. Officers also discovered that COX’ driver’s license was currently suspended due to a previous DUI conviction. COX was released and will be summoned to appear in court.
COX is presumed innocent.
