DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - DRUGS (DUI-D):
The LBPD patrol function has filed a criminal complaint against Charles R. BRUBAKER, age 62, of Lititz, alleging the crimes of Driving Under the Influence - Drugs (DUI-D), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the summary traffic offense of Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
On 09/08/2018 at 9:56 AM, the LBPD responded to a 911 caller's complaint about BRUBAKER's unsafe driving. The responding officers were able to locate BRUBAKER driving and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the traffic stop, the officers discovered that BRUBAKER was under the influence of drugs. BRUBAKER was subsequently taken into custody during which time BRUABKER was found to be in possession of a small bag of Heroin and a hypodermic needle. BRUBAKER was transported to the LBPD where a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) administered a drug influence evaluation on him. BRUBAKER provided samples of his blood which were sent to a laboratory for analysis. BRUABKER was released from custody pending the toxicology results. A subsequent laboratory report indicated the following positive findings: Diazepam, Nordiazepam, Desalkflurazepam, Sertraline, Desmethylsertraine, Fluoxetine, Norfluoxetine, Fentanyl, Norfentanly and Acetyl Fentanyl. BRUBAKER has been summoned into DUI Central Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
BRUBAKER is presumed innocent.
