LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function has filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against David Robert BROWN, age 40, of Lititz, alleging he committed the crime of Driving Under the Influence (Controlled Substances) and the summary traffic offenses of Duties at Stop Signs and Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages.
On 02/15/2023 around 5:49 pm, an LBPD patrol officer stopped the vehicle BROWN was driving for a traffic offense that occurred at the intersection of East Sixth Street & Kissel Hill Road. During the traffic stop, it is alleged that BROWN was found to be under the influence of controlled substances. A drug influence evaluation was administered by an LBPD Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). BROWN subsequently provided samples of his blood for analysis which found positive findings of controlled substances. BROWN has been summoned to appear in District Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
BROWN is presumed innocent.
