LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function has filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against Kacie Ashlyn AUSTEEL, age 28, of Lititz, alleging she committed the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI).
On 02/26/2023 around 9:50 PM, the LBPD patrol function responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the 000 Block of West Lincoln Avenue. The crash investigated indicated that a vehicle being driven by AUSTEEL left the travel lane and struck a utility pole adjacent to the roadway. No injuries were reported associated with the crash. It is alleged that AUSTEEL was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody. An evidential test of AUSTEEL's breath indicated she had a 0.275% BrAC. AUSTEEL was subsequently released from custody and has been summoned to appear in District Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.
AUSTEEL is presumed innocent.
