On Wednesday October 21, 2020 at approximately 1835 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon B, responded to the 400 blk. Beaver St. for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male with a stab wound to his torso. The Officers initiated First Aid measures in an attempt to slow/stop the bleeding.
On September 13, 2020, at approximately 4:13 PM, Lancaster County-Wide Communications received a 911 call for a domestic in the 300 block of Laurel Street in Lancaster City. The caller related that her brother was reportedly becoming aggressive with his mother and was attempting to break into her house. A property rental scam that is happening across the nation has made it's way to the Lancaster area. This scam involves rental properties and scam listings.
Now that Covid-19 protocols are in place for many companies, scammers are taking advantage of this new environment.
City of Lancaster Emergency Management Coordinator, Gene Duncan, saw that Joseph Besecker and Project Emerald are working to supply local first responders with PPE such as masks and gloves. Duncan, along with Lt. Chris Laser, were able to facilitate a donation of 300 N95 masks and 900 gloves. Besecker is still working on obtaining a quantity of face shields for the Lancaster Bureau of Police.

Scammers are attempting to defraud people by touting self/at-home test kits and home treatment kits for Covid-19. This is being done via the internet and through informal direct-to-consumer sales.
On Friday March 20, 2020 at approximately 2056 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon B, responded to the Rite Aid 825 E. Chestnut St. for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.
On Sunday February 9, 2020 at approximately 2003 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon B, responded to the 700 blk. Union St. for a report of a theft from vehicle that had just occurred.
