On Monday 29 January 2018 at approximately 2212 hrs. Officers from Platoon A responded to an address on the 700 blk. N. Cherry St. for a report of a person bleeding. No other details were given by the caller to 911. When Officers arrived they located a 19 year old male with a stab wound to the back, left side of his neck. A family member had used a towel to cover the wound.
Off. Deibler saw the severity of the wound and kept direct pressure on it at the home, with the EMS crew and into the emergency medicine department at LGH. Other Officers remained at the scene and spoke with family members. Detectives arrived to assist at the scene.
Investigators and Officers learned that there had been a dispute between the victim and his cousin, identified as Adrian DeJesus-Montes M/27. During the dispute, DeJesus-Montes stabbed the victim on the left side of his neck. DeJesus-Montes fled the scene prior to the arrival of Police.
Off. Andrew Conard filed a Criminal Complaint against DeJesus-Montes before MDJ Jimenez. He was charged with (1) count Aggravated Assault. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of DeJesus-Montes.
After the victim was stabilized at LGH an assesment for possible paralysis needed to be made. The victim was transferred to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for that purpose.
