On Friday 11 May 2018 at approximately 0046 hrs. Officers from Platoon B responded to a residence on the 700 blk. S. Lime St. for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. Officers loacted an adult male that had multiple stab wounds to the back of his torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and surgery.
Officers secured the scene and spoke with witnesses and additional victims (only one person was stabbed). Officers and investigators learned that Alexander Colon M/23, went to a residence on the 700 blk. S. Lime St. to confront his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. Colon located his ex-girlfriend at the residence and made threats to kill her and her new boyfriend. Colon brandished a knife and pointed it at the female when he made the threats.
Colon left the home and went to a second residence on the 700 blk. S. Lime St. Colon confronted the new boyfriend and assaulted him. Colon stabbed the victim over a dozen times on the back of the victim's torso and left arm. Colon fled the scene prior to Officer's arrival.
Det. Sgt. Nate Nickel filed a Criminal Complaint before MDJ Richardson against Colon charging him with (2) Counts Burglary, Aggravated Assault, (2) Counts Terroristic Threats and Simple Assault. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Colon.
