Shooting Investigation 600 blk. Fourth St. 7/16/2017

On Sunday 16 July 2017 at approximately 1447 hrs. Officers from Platoon C responded to the area of the 600 blk. Fourth St. for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, Officers were told that (2) adult females exited a residence on Fourth St., got into a vehicle and left the scene. One of the females appeared to be bleeding from the face. 

Officers were able make entry into the residence and secure it as a crime scene. No other injured persons were found at the home. Officers canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses in order to find out what had happened prior to their arrival.

Officers were informed that a female with a GSW to the face had walked into the EMD at LRMC. Additional Officers responded to LRMC. The female, a 19 year old resident of Columbia, PA, was transported to LGH for treatment of the injury. It was confirmed that the female that had walked into the hospital was the same person that had been seen exiting the residence on Fourth St. No additional information on the condition of the female was available at the time of this release.

This incident is still under investigation. This does not appear to be a random incident and there does not appear to be any danger to the public. No arrests have been made as of the time of this release.
