Robbery 600 blk. N. Plum St. at E. Clay St. w/ 5 juveniles arrested 11/29/2017

On Wednesday 29 November 2017 at approximately 1900 hrs. Officers from Platoon A responded to the area of 1000 blk. N. Lime St. A caller to 911 stated that a group of juvenile males attempted to rob him at gunpoint in the area on N. Plum St. and E. Clay St. The caller managed to disarm the juvenile with the gun. The gun turned out to be a pellet gun that resembled a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol. The victim detained one suspect and followed a second suspect to a residence on N. Lime St. in Manheim Twp. 

Officers from Lancaster City and Manheim Twp. met with the victim and one of the juveniles on N. Lime St. The replica pellet gun was turned over to Police. (2) juvenile males were taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster Bureau of Police station.

Through the course of the investigation, an additional (3) juvenile male suspects were identified. Those juveniles were all located and taken into custody by members of Platoon D on Thursday 30 November 2017 shortly after 0930 hrs. 

The ages of the juvenile suspects range from 13 to 17 years of age. 2 of the juvenile suspects are resident of Manheim Twp. and the other 3 are residents of Lancaster City. 

All of the juvenile suspects had Allegations filed against them for Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery before Lancaster County Juvenile Probation. The Allegations were filed by Officer Andrew Conard. The 2 juvenile that were taken into custody on the 29th were remanded to the Youth Intervention Center (YIC). The additional 3 juveniles are still being processed at the Lancaster Bureau of Police station as of the time of this release. 

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court or adjudicated delinquent.
