Reporting person / victim stated that they had been receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown male.  The male threated bodily harm to the victim and their family.

Reporting person / victim stated that while loading his truck at the listed  location he laid his cell phone down.  After he had finished loading the truck his phone was no longer there.

Reporting person / victim stated that she left her purse unattended in the locker room at the listed location while she took a shower.  When she returned, an unknown suspect had stolen her perscription medications which were in her purse.

OCCURRED 1/30/2018 1320 HRS.

Off. Rothermel took a report that an unknown male pretended to be an employee at a stand inside Central Market when an employee was away from the stand. The male took cash from the business and left the area on foot. The suspect was described as a male 30-40 years of age, 5'04" tall, petite build and was possibly South American or Asian . The suspect was further described as having straight, black hair that covered his ears and that he had wide-set cheekbones and a pointed chin. A witness provided Off. BURGLARY

100 BLK. N. FRANKLIN ST.

OCCURRED 02/03/2018 1615 HRS. 

Off. LaSanta was on patrol on the 100 blk. N. Franklin St. when he observed 2 males engaged in a fight. Off. LaSanta managed to separate the males. One male fled the scene on foot, last seen westbound on E. Marion St. Off. LaSanta provided other Officers with a description of the male that fled as he remained at the scene with the other male.

The other male was found to be a resident of the home. He told Off. LaSanta that the male was unknown to him. He stated that the suspect attempted to force entry to the home and said that someone inside owed him money. The victim armed himself with a hammer and fought off the suspect. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the fight with the suspect and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The scene was processed for evidence. 

The suspect that fled was described as a black male in his 20's with short dreadlocks. No further description was available. ROBBERY

551 W. KING ST. (TAKE OUT SHOP)

OCCURRED 02/04/2018 2235 HRS.

An unknown B/M entered the take-out shop at 551 W. King St. The male removed a can of beer from the cooler and approached the register. The male then brandished a handgun and demanded that the employee the cash register. The employee complied but the suspect left the store before taking anything. The suspect was described as an B/M 50's, approximately 5'05", average build, missing several teeth and was last seen wearing a blue raincoat. Detectives were working on obtaining surveillance video from inside the store, not available as of the time of this release.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK

300 BLK. W. WALNUT ST. AT N. CHARLOTTE ST.

01/30/2018 0815 HRS.

Off. Kaminski and Off. Arnold responded for a report of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of W. Walnut St. and N. Charlotte St. A small yellow bus turned onto the 200 blk. N. Charlotte St. and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the bus did not stop at the scene. Off. Kaminski contacted several bus companies but was unable to determine which company may have had a bus at that location at that time. The following day a supervisor from Shultz Transportation Co. observed traffic in the area at the same time of day when the crash occurred. The supervisor was able to identify one of their vehicles in the area. Further follow up and review of the internal video from the bus was provided to Off. Kaminski and Off. Arnold. As a result of this investigation, Off. Arnold filed a citation against Wanda Cromedy F/65 600 blk. S. Lime St. Lancaster, PA with Traffic Control Signals (S) before MDJ Roth.
