Vandalism incidents in NE Lancaster City 1/5/2019

On Saturday January 5, 2019 between 1729 hrs. and 1740 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police Platoon D responded to a series of vandalism complaints in the Northeast section of Lancaster City. 

Mutiple callers reported that bricks or rocks had been thrown through windows of their homes. None of the victims were able to provide a description of the suspect(s). No injuries were reported. A total of (7) acts of vandalism appear to be related and are being investiagated. 

The first call was received at 1729 hrs. on the 200 blk. E. Clay St. for a brick thrown through a window. A second call was received at 1731 hrs. on the 700 blk. N. Plum St. for a rock thrown through a window. A third call was recieved at 1732 hrs. on the 500 blk. N. Shippen St. for a brick thrown through a window. A fourth call was received at 1740 hrs. on the 1st blk. N. Lime St. for a brick thrown though a window. No suspects were identified or located.

An additional (3) calls that matched the previous calls were received throughout the day on Sunday January 6, 2019. They were on the 200 blk. E. Frederick St. where a rock was thrown through a winodw, the 700 blk. N. Plum St. for a car window damaged by a rock and the 500 blk. Hamilton St. for a car windshield damaged by a brick. 

Off. Austin Krause has been assigned the investigation and is seeking any potential witnesses, additional unreported victims and potential video from private video cameras in the areas where the incidents occurred.
