Theft & Access Device Fraud 12/10/2018



On December 10, 2018 at 1826 hrs. Off. Heckman met with the victim of a theft and subsequent fraudulent credit card use.

Earleir that afternoon, shortly before 1600 hrs., the victim had secured his belongings in a secured locker at the YMCA on Harrisburg Pike. Later while still at the facility, the victim received notifications of potential fruadulent activity on his credit card accounts. The victim discovered that someone had managed to defeat his lock, entered the locker and stole credit cards. The victims cards were used at the Apple store at Park City Center. 

After coordinating with Loss Prevention at Apple, images of the suspects were obtained from the store surveillance system. The first 2 images of the suspect wearing a leather coat are from an Apple Store in Ohio where the suspect made additional fraudulent purchases on 12/12/2018. The image of the suspect wearing the gray jacket was taken at the Apple store in Park City Center on 12/10/18. The images from both locations are believed to be the same suspect. 

The total amount of fraudulent purchases made by the suspect between both locations is approximately $10,000.
