On Sunday 04 June 2017 at 0144 hrs. Officers from Platoon B responded to LGH for a report that a victim of an assault had walked into EMD. The victim reported that he had been inside Tellus 360 on the dance floor when some type of shoving match or fight broke out near him. The victim stated that he thought he had been punched and then felt blood running from his face.
Friends of the victim helped him out of the bar and to LGH. Witnesses reported that the victim had been struck on the face with a bottle. The victim had a large X-shaped laceration on his right cheek. EMd staff advised the responding Officers that the victim would need to see a specialist to repair the injury and would likely require some type of plastic surgery.
Officers at Tellus 360 spoke with a witness that told them that an unknown W/M had been shoved by people in the crowd.The suspect swung a bottle and struck the victim on the face. The suspect was described as being approximately 5'08" and 190 lbs. and was in his mid-twenties.
During subsequent follow up investigations and with the cooperation of the Tellus 360 management staff, Det. Sgt. Nickel was able to obtain and review surveillance video from the night of the assault. Sgt. Nickel was able to locate still images of the suspect.
The suspect has yet to be identifed. Sgt. Nickel and the Lancaster City Bureau of Police are requesting the assistance of the public in helping us to identify the suspect.
