On Tuesday August 9, 2016 at approximately 2150 hrs. a robbery occurred at the Turkey Hill store, 460 S. Duke St. Lancaster, PA
The suspect, pictured above, entered the store and demanded cash from the register. No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported as a result of the robbery. The suspect kept one hand in his pocket as to infer the presence of a weapon.
The suspect took the loot and left the area on foot, last seen walking west toward S. Christian St.
UPDATED INFORMATION 8.12.2016
Through investigative efforts and information received, Det. Tom Ginder was able to identify Branden A. Yellets as the suspect from the robbery at Turkey Hill. Det. Ginder obtained a warrant for the arrest of Yellets, charging him with Robbery (F2).
On 8.12.2016 at approximately 2:20 pm, Officers from Platoon C and Detectives went to an address on the 500 blk. S. Christian St. to locate Yellets and arrest him on the warrant. Yellets initially attempted to evade arrest by exiting a 3rd floor window onto the roof. Yellets eventually came back into the home and he was placed into custody at approximately 2:53 pm without further incident.
At the time of this release, Yellets is awaiting arraignment. Bail has not yet been set in this case.
All persons arrested are presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty in court.
