***PREVIOUSLY RELEASED INFORMATION 10 AUGUST 2017 ***
On Sunday August 6, 2017 at approximately 0220 hrs. the sallyport door on the N. Market St. side of the Lancaster Bureau of Police station was vandalized. (The sallyport is used as the secure entrance to the station for persons in Police custody)
(2) males walked over to the door from the area behind the House of Pizza. (1) male spray painted "F*** the Police" on the door while the other male kept watch.
Surveillance video from House of Pizza showed that at least one of the suspects had been inside the shop prior to the vandalism.
The suspect in the surveillance photos appears to be a W/M/20's, thin build, blonde hair, glasses, medium length hair pulled into a man-bun on top.
On 11 August 2017 we updated this release with (2) additional photos. The 2nd suspect is shown as a unkown W/M/20's, dark hair, gray button down shirt, tan pants and gray shoes. The 1st suspect is shown with the glasses pushed up on his forehead.
***NEW INFORMATION 25 AUGUST 2017***
Det. Sgt. Kurt Miller was able to postively identify the suspect as Christian Weaver M/23. During the course of the investigation it was found that (2) additional properties on the 300 blk. N. Market St. had been vandalized by use of green spray paint. Those incidents occurred on the same night/morning that the garage door of the Police station had been vandalized.
Sgt. Miller filed a criminal complaint against Weaver before MDJ Roth, charging him with 1 Count Institutional Vandalism (M2) and 2 Counts Criminal Mischief (M3). A Summons will be sent to Weaver. Weaver has not yet been placed on record and his booking photo is not available.
All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
