On Tuesday 26 September 2017 at approximately 2142 hrs. Officers from Platoon A responded to the Turkey Hill store at 410 E. Chestnut St. for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.
Officers responded to the store and spoke with the employees at the store. A description and last known direction of travel was relayed to other Officers in the area. The suspect had last been seen south on N. Plum St.
As Officers canvassed the area they received information that the suspect had gone into a rear yard on the 1st blk. Howard Ave. A perimeter was established as additonal Officers and Detectives arrived. The Officers at the scene were able to obtain information that the suspect had gone into a home in that block. Officers made contact and located the suspect inside the residence. Officers were able to recover clothing that the suspect had shed during his flight from the robbery scene.
The suspect, identified as Victor Petrilli M/27, was transported to the Lancaster City Police station for processing. Petrilli was charged with (1) Count Robbery before MDJ Jimenez. Petrilli was arraigned on the charge and committed to LCP in lieu of $200,000 bail.
All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
