On Saturday 09 September 2017 at approximately 1218 hrs. Officers from Platoon C responded to the 700 blk. S. Lime St. for a report of a shooting. Officers were directed to a 48 year old male with a single gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers secured the scene and began the investigation by speaking with neighbors and checking the area for evidence. Detectives responded to the hospital. Det. Lt. Shenk was able to speak to the victim before he went into surgery. The victim was able to provide some preliminary information about the person that shot him.
Thought the course of the investigation, potential suspect information was developed. After the victim came out of surgery and when he was able, he spoke with Detectives and positively identified the shooting suspect at Julius Grisson. The victim remains in Serious but Stable condition at the hospital.
Det. Tom Ginder filed a Criminal Complaint against Grisson and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Grisson. Grisson had previously lived on the 700 blk. S. Lime St.
Grisson surrendered himself at the Lancaster Bureau of Police station on 09 September 2017 shortly after 1930 hrs. Grisson is being held until he can be arraigned on the complaint. Bail information was not available as of the time of this release.
