On 06 July 2017 at approximately 1848 hrs Officers from Platoon B responded to a residence on the 500 blk. E. King St. for a report of an assault that had just occurred. When Officers arrived they found that an adult male had injuries to his face after being struck by a baseball bat. The victim and a female resident were able to tell Officers that (2) males had forced entry into the apartment and had assaulted the victim.
The suspects were gone upon Police arrival. The female resident received minor injuries as a result of attempting to stop the assault on the victim. The male victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Through the course of the investigation, one of the suspects was identified as Jaquan Doughty M/18 500 blk. E. King St. Lancaster, PA. A warrant was issued for Doughty after he was charged with Burglary, Aggravated Assault (Criminal Conspiracy) and Harassment by Det. Lt. Kevin Fry before MDJ Wilwerth.
On 08 July 2017 Doughty turned himself in to the Lancaster City Police at the station. Doughty was held for arraignment on the warrant and was committed to LCP in lieu of $50,000 bail.
