Ephrata Police have filed charges against two individuals involved in recent DUI incidents.
On 7/11/19 police stopped Stanley Staneski, 35, of Denver, after he disregarded traffic cones marking a road closed for flooding on Sportsman Road in West Cocalico Township. Staneski failed field sobriety testing and was taken into custody for a DUI investigation. Staneski refused to provide a blood sample to determine his blood alcohol content. Staneski will receive a summons for charges of obedience to traffic control devices and DUI- general impairment.
On 7/19/19, on E. Main St. in Ephrata Borough, police stopped David Serrano Jr, 36, of Lebanon, after observing his vehicle driving well under the speed limit and crossing over the center line while other vehicles were passing in the opposite direction. Serrano failed field sobriety testing and was taken into custody for a DUI investigation. Serrano refused to provide a blood sample to determine his blood alcohol content. Serrano will receive a summons for charges of failure to keep right and DUI- general impairment.
