Bicyclist struck by vehicle

On 3/7/17 at 0622hrs, Ephrata Police responded to an accident involving a bicyclist that was struck by a vehicle in the 100 Block of Hahnstown Rd. in Ephrata Township. The vehicle driver, Jaymes Lewis, age 26, of Lancaster, reported he fell asleep and struck the bicyclist from behind. The 20 year old male bicyclist from Ephrata was transported to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
