As the culmination of a month-long robbery investigation, Ephrata Police charged three people with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Aggravated Assault. On January 23, 2018, an Ephrata resident reported that two males assaulted him, cut his elbow with a knife, and stole his wallet and its contents at a parking garage in the 100 block of East Locust Street, Ephrata Borough. The investigation revealed that Jeffrey R. Garrett, 19, of Adamstown and Colton J. Lynch, 24, of Denver asked a 15-year-old female to find a victim to assault and rob. The juvenile female led the victim to a prearranged location where Lynch and Garrett assaulted and robbed him. Garrett is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. The juvenile’s charges were referred to Lancaster County Juvenile Probation. Ephrata Police hold a warrant for Lynch’s arrest. All three are presumed innocent.
