Pedestrian Struck



Ephrata Police were called to the intersection of North State and Locust Streets around 5:35am on 09-28-18 for a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.  

Investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Ngia Xiong M/65 of Ephrata was south on N. State Street and upon turning left onto Locust St struck a 67 yr old female (from the 100 Block of N. State St, Ephrata) who was crossing over Locust St while walking her dog.   Female pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and it was raining at the time of the accident.

The female was transported to Lancaster General Hospital with what appeared to be minor back and head injuries.  

The pedestrian's dog ran off and police are actively looking for the small white dog who is dragging its leash.  Police request if the dog is located to notify the Ephrata Police so the dog can be reunited with its owner.   717-733-8611.
