Pedestrian Hit and Run Accident

On Saturday 2/3/18 at 0225hrs, Ephrata Police responded to the 400 block of E. Main Street for a hit & run crash involving a pedestrian.   Addy Grimm F/44 of Ephrata was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross E. Main Street. The striking vehicle did not stop and subsequently fled the scene possibly west bound on E. Main St and was not located. Grimm was transported to Lancaster General Hospital with severe injuries.   

From evidence located at the scene, it appears that the striking vehicle was traveling westbound on E. Main Street at the time and may possibly be a lighter gray to silver-colored GM product – possibly a truck or SUV.  The vehicle may be missing its passenger’s side mirror and could also have front and/or passenger’s side damage as well as possible damage to the hood area.

Ephrata Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the vehicle and driver.
