Ephrata Police officer became involved in a crash on 1-14-22 around 10am when a vehicle driven by 49yr old male from Lititz area failed to stop for a stop sign.
Investigation into the crash determined that the Ephrata officer, who was traveling north on Church Ave, was struck by David Kinser of Lititz who was driving west on West Locust St. Police determined Kinser failed to stop for a stop sign prior to entering the intersection with Church Ave. The officer, who did not have a stop sign, was not injured in the crash however the police vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Kinser reported he was not injured but his vehicle sustained extensive damage and was also towed from the scene. Kinser faces several traffic charges, to include a stop sign violation and driving while his license is suspended.
