On 10-23-17 at approximately 0215hrs Ephrata Police responded for a burglary in progress in the 100 Block of Hahnstown Road, Ephrata Township. Homeowner reported a vehicle was on their property and a male broke into and entered their barn/shed building where they keep money and produce which is sold at their roadside stand. Homeowner stated he confronted the subject and the subject threatened to harm him then ran to his vehicle and fled the area. Ephrata Police a short time later located the vehicle on Akron Road in Ephrata Township and the driver, Andrew Marks M/27 of the 200 block of N. State St, Ephrata was identified as the alleged subject who confronted the homeowner.
Marks was taken into custody, no weapons were located and Marks was arrested for Burglary and Terroristic Threats. Marks was arraigned before MDJ Russell who required $50,000 cash bail. Marks failed to post bail and was committed to Lancaster County Prison.
