On Friday March 2, 2018 at 4:08 p.m., Ephrata Police responded to 883 East Main Street, the Eastgate Village Mobile Home Park, Ephrata Township, for an intoxicated person creating a disturbance outside of a residence. Upon arriving at the scene, police encountered Brandon M. Conlan, 24, of Downingtown, and attempted to arrest him for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct. Conlan resisted arrest by engaging in a physical struggle and kicking the officer. Police had to utilize a TASER to subdue Conlan. Conlan was charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness. Conlan is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $2,000 in bail.
