Ephrata Police Investigators arrested Dameon Augustine, 18, of Stevens, charging him with the December 16, 2018 burglary of the Reinholds Sunoco located at 185 E. Main Street in Reinholds.
After publishing the security video obtained from the business - depicting two youthful burglars, one wearing a clown mask - the Ephrata Police received an overwhelming number of tips from the CrimeWatch platform, among others. The tips, along with timely assistance from school officials, pointed investigators to Augustine. After gathering evidence and facts, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Augustine, charging him with burglary, conspiracy, and related offenses. Augustine turned himself in on Friday December 21, 2018.
He was arraigned before MDJ Nancy Hamill, and taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $30,000 cash bail. Augustine is presumed innocent.
The other burglar remains at large.
