Thank You!

Over the past couple of weeks, the police officers and employees of the East Lampeter Township Police Department have been the recipient of numerous gifts:  a Thursday pizza lunch surprise from a local business; colorful cards with ultra-cool stickers from a family; baskets of fruit from a prayer group; breakfast casserole and spaghetti from Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services, and cookies and treats from "One Kind Cookie". Your thoughtfulness is heartwarming and appreciated by each member of your police department.  Everyone wants to feel valued and we certainly do!  It is a privilege to wear this badge of honor and serve our community, one call at a time.  Please accept our thanks to each of you for your continued support and be sure to say hello when you see us!

Just a few notes on One Kind Cookie:

  • An idea formed in 2014 to serve a few dozen cookies to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Northern Kentucky, turned into over 30,000 cookies across the U.S.
  • By 2018, the organization had delivered over ¼ million cookies nationwide to police and fire agencies
  • In 2019, the organization became an official non-profit, “One Kind Cookie”
  • 2021, the group is honoring those lost on 09/11/2001 and have delivered over 71,000 cookies using “local leaders” across the country sharing cookies, smiles, and making friends
